Popular Music 1900-Present

My musical journey...

Picture
From my earliest memories music has been a great part of my life. That first song I can remember (Bob Seger "Down on Mainstreet") to actually having very close friends on tour, I can honestly say that music is the only constant through life. Faith comes and goes, buildings are destroyed and rebuilt but music is always there.
My father became a radio station "disk jockey" from when he finished his time in the Marines to shortly after I was born in 1982. Although I never heard my father on the radio, the music that he brought home shaped my childhood and even later in life.

"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water."

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.
